"I completed my EBA referee exam in March 2019. The week before the exam, we hired Ben to come and do referee coaching and exam preparation. Not only was he knowledgable about the rules as you would expect, but he also taught all of us about positioning and focus, among other things. He was easy to talk to and so helpful. He even brought referee gloves for us to keep! He taught us exactly what would be expected at the exam - we were surprised with how thorough it was going to be and would have been caught cold without Ben's help.
There's no way I would have passed my referee exam without Ben's help. The examiner even said that the percentage of us that passed was much higher than normal as a result".

"I have worked with Ben on numerous occasions at Barnstaple Pool League Finals Day. Most recently in 2019 we hired him as both a commentator and on-camera live presenter. He is an excellent commentator, most people don't know he's actually a very talented player, so when he commentates he discusses the shots players are likely to play really clearly for the watching audience. After the games were finished Ben interviewed the winners on live stream without any form of script. He was able to come up with appropriate questions that encouraged the players to talk and asked about more than just the game they had played. If I didn't know any better I would have thought he did it for a living".
